Huntress Labs stands on the belief that all organizations should have the ability to protect themselves in an ever-changing digital world, regardless of industry, region, or size. Huntress is a leading provider of advanced threat detection and actionable cybersecurity intelligence for Managed Service Providers (MSPs), small-to-medium-sized businesses (SMBs), and enterprises. Huntress has pioneered an effective, cloud-delivered, and cost-effective method to address threats at a layer that is often overlooked—footholds that are indicative of malicious persistence activity on customer endpoints.
Footholds are created by leveraging common operating system features configured to automatically run, such as services, scheduled tasks, and other normal persistence mechanisms. A foothold is established when an attacker uses one of these persistence mechanisms to run malware or perform a malicious action, such as creating a backdoor account. Huntress monitors for footholds and when found delivers actionable recommendations and instructions for removal.
Founded in 2015 by former NSA Cyber Operators, Huntress’ founders recognized a need for security solutions built specifically for MSPs and small businesses. By providing expert analysis and actionable insights based on the investigation into those activities, Huntress enables corporate IT teams to quickly resolve incidents. With Huntress, MSPs can reduce cybersecurity response labour, retain and grow their client base, and differentiate themselves from the competition.
